【Taipei】鼎泰豐 Din Tai Fung

  An internationally popular Taiwanese restaurant, Din Tai Fung(鼎泰豐)! Very famous for their Xiao Long Bao (小龍包) or steamed dumpling. Ding Tai Fung has branches in many countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Macau, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, etc.

      I went there on Sunday with my family, it was really really crowded since it's weekend, but to be honest, the wait time isn't terribly long. They divided the queue number by how many people per table, really organized.

     Actually I have tried booking a table by phone, but they said that we can't make a reservation and we need to come in person.

       Inside view of the restaurant, I did not expect that it will be this spacious. 

Menu (All the items in the menu are written in Chinese, English, Korean, and Japanese, so you don't need to worry!)

They provide you with some kind of bag for you to put away your items, so you can enjoy your meal without any hindrance. Awesome!

蝦仁蛋炒飯 Shrimp Fried Rice (with egg) (white rice) NT$230

Pork Xiaolongbao (5) NT$105
Actually you can choose how many pieces that you want, 5 or 10 pieces. The price is NT$105 for 5 and NT$210 for 10.

Stir Fried Water Spinach NT$180

Braised Beef Noodle Soup NT$250
You can a variety of the meat part, depends on what you want to eat --> All Tendon/All Meat / Half Tendon Half Meat

Steamed Shrimp and Pork Shaomai (10) NT$360

House Special Spicy Shrimp and Pork Wontons NT$180
I think this one is really good and better than the other menu I've ordered

Steamed Shrimp and Pork Dumpling (10)  NT$260

They also gave us an instruction about how to enjoy their dumplings to the fullest!

      In Taiwan, you can find Din Tai Fung not only in Taipei,  but also in New Taipei City, Sinchu, Taichung and Kaohsiung either.
